I personally think he should be around the bottom of the top ten lists for 205lbers... I like his fighting style and he always seems to bring it...

I know his record isn't the best, but take a look at his loses...

- Lost a decision to Shogun (1 of only two times Shogun's been taken the distance)
- Lost to the bigger man when he fought Barney
- TKO'd by Wandy in his prime (no shame in that)
- An injury TKO against Hendo (I haven't seen this fight, so I dont' know the details)
- and 2 losses to Lil Nog... 1 sub (Nak's 1st MMA fight?) and 1 split...

He has wins over some decent names as well:
- Daniel Gracie
- Igor V
- Busta
- Randleman
- Kondo
- Cyborg

Who do you think he should fight next? I'd like to see him fight Overeem, Arona, or maybe he would be a good litmus test for Soko's next fight... Just a bonus that they're both Judokas...

Any Nak fans out there? Whadayallthink?

I'm a Nakamura fan (I love watching Judo fighters, but who doesn't). He's been on the Top 10 list at LHW for awhile IMO.

Yup, I have him down at 9 on mine on this site, but I didn't see too much love for him on the official MMAPG Top 10 Rankings... So I thought that I'd try and get his name out there, and see if we could get a little support going for him... And I totally agree, watching Judo transitioned into MMA is a think of beauty, that's why I'm such a big karo fan

I would love to see him in the cage as well... I just love to watch him fight... What do you think about a matchup between him and Sokodjou?

Yeah he a real warrior, he has a lot of skill in Judo, he trains with Hidehiko Yoshida, who was an Olympic judo Gold medalist I believe. I was watching his fight against Dos Carras Junior last night, and even though Carras was much bigger, the compact Nakamura was just throwing him alloever the place. Until Carras pushed Nakamura into the corner and held him there for practically a whole round.

That Hendo/Nak fight was really close if I remember correctly. This guy is a really good fighter though, top 10 for sure.

Nakamura can do Judo throws without the gi.
