Cris Cyborg Santos recently tested positive for Stanozolol, an illegal Performance Enhancing Drug (PED) Stanozolol (better known as Winstrol). Her win over Hiroko Yamanaka was changed to a No Contest, and her legacy was called into question.
Cyborg's camp blamed the positive test on a dietary supplement, which they say unknowingly contained the illegal drug.
MMA legend, former UFC Heavyweight champion and current HDNet fight commentator Bas Rutten has a simple solution for clearing her name, via twitter.
If Cyborg wants to clear her name, simple, send the drink to the athletic commission, let them test it. I just don't believe they put it in drinks to LOSE weight. If they DO put roids in, show the drink and her name is cleared. Its what I would do. Like I said before, they all say "I took something over the counter". What? Tell us what you took? Help your fellow fighters not to make the same mistake by accident, just saying

Great point Bas. I'm sick of hearing about fighters blame their steroid test on something they took without ever providing the name of the product.

actually there is a huge list of banned sups, they put stuff in sups that could come back with a postive its not necessarily a steroid but somethings stuff that acts like it and can come back with the postive result.....with that being said i dont believe her.

Just hire a couple of college students for a drug trial...if they can't find any college students willing to do it, I"m sure there are a couple of Playgrounders willing to put in the work.

Bas is just trying to bust her....and I don't blame him. He knows her excuse is just that...an excuse and he knows that she won't send sh*t in to the Athletic Commission. He is trying to make her put her money where her mouth is. Anyone who uses PEDs without a justifiable reason and without consent from the Athletic Commissions is nothing more than a cheater with no integrity. There is one surefire way to tell if she has been using any kind of steroids....look at her crotch. If her clitoris resembles a small penis...she is a steroid user.
