The injury bug has bitten two UFC fighters.

Officials today announced that former WEC champ Mike Brown (25-8 MMA, 1-3 UFC) has been scratched from his UFC on FX 1 bout with featherweight Vagner Rocha (7-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC).

Additionally, featherweight Ricardo Lamas (11-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) has been forced out of a UFC 143 matchup with Dustin Poirer (11-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC).

Officials didn't disclosed the nature of the injuries, and replacements haven't been named.

UFC on FX 1 takes place Jan. 20 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. UFC 143, meanwhile, takes place Feb. 4 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. Officials hadn't announced if either fight is slated for the main cards, which airs on FX and pay-per-view, respectively.

They'll both probably just get some UFC newcomers.

But Idk how close or far away these events are, there's too many to keep up with.

UFC on FX 1 is about 3 weeks away and UFC 143 is another 2 weeks after that so you're probably right. I wouldn't be all that shocked to see The Korean Zombie thrown into the Poirier fight though.

I didn't like the Brown/Rocha fight anyway.
