A pair of undefeated heavyweights will clash in Nebraska as Phil De Fries (8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) faces Stipe Miocic (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) at UFC on FUEL TV 1.

UFC officials today announced the contest.

"Undefeated heavyweights will collide as verbal agreements are in for 8-and-0 Phil De Fries versus 7-and-0 Stipe Miocic on Feb. 15 in Omaha, Neb.," UFC president Dana White stated in an official release.

Nice. I think Stipe takes this with better wrestling and top notch boxing.

The news is coming in fast today! I am stoked, this should be a good fight. A classic wrestler/ BJJ player match at heavyweight. Both guys undefeated too!

Just the fact that the Heavyweight division has seemingly blown up overnight is awesome. Every division is really getting fleshed out now. 2012 could very well be the biggest year for MMA yet, the way things are going.

I also like Miocic and his Cro-Cop shorts to beat Giant Edgar.

De Fries stumbled a bit against Broughton, whereas Miocic took it to Beltran, like Fleek said, just better Wrestling and Boxing.

Stipe will use his wrestling to dictate the fight
I wouldn't be suprised if it goes to a decision

We're going to see if Miocic has any ground game here, De Fries is one of the few heavyweights whos dangerous off his back with sub attempts and sweeps. I think Miocic is a D1 wrestler and should have the striking, so its his fight to lose.

If Stipe has any sense this will not even get close to the ground, yes he has far better wrestling, but his striking is way way better than the none existent stand up of De Fries
