"I'll be tested four times in three weeks this month, so after this, there cannot be any more doubts. The thing is, I've fought in the States before and every time I got tested, I've never tested positive. So I don't where all [the speculation about steroid use] is coming from. I'm too focused on my career, and I don't really pay attention to these messages. I cannot judge other fighters, though of course sometimes you have your suspicions. Do I think testing should be [done] more [frequently]? Yes, I do think it should be done more, but I think it should be applied to all athletes and not just a randomly select few."

When he passes all the drug tests you'll have to!!!!!
I still say accusing him of using steroids is fighter bashing.

"I suspect this person is using illegal substances" "Thats bashing!!!"
What? I suspect GSP, Lesnar and Reem all do it among others (80 percent of the UFC roster) I must be hating on them all and bashing.

I happen to agree with Overeem. It is kind of like profiling - what the athletic commissions are doing.
Athletic commissions need to be fair to all sports competitors. It should be a random thing and not a selective thing which is what Overeem is arguing.
And I will admit, I had my hunches about Overeem when he first bulked up.

The Reem has good genetics, not saying he doesnt or hasnt used steroids because that we will not know unless he fails a test, but the man has good genetics, his brother is also pretty large, but not as tall so the extra 2 inches increases his weight a little and size....
i just dont get why we gotta accuse someone of steroids, i went from 200, to 250 in 4 months and it was mostly muscle i was pretty ripped and never used anything. Mine was genetics, its very possible and likely his is too.....and it took him longer so...

I wonder if the masses will question Jon Jones when he eventually bumps up to 250.

I wonder if the masses will question Jon Jones when he eventually bumps up to 250.
Ever seen pictures of his brothers?
Here's a picture from when they were at Syracuse together in 2009. His older brother, the one in the middles, is 6'4" 303lb. The younger brother, who looks like more like Jones imo and is one the left, as well as the guy in the other picture showing off that ridiculous wingspan, is 6'5" 251lb. If Jones wants to, he could be a massive HW rather easily.
The same was/is true of Alistair. He has always had the body to be huge. That he is the size he is shouldn't be too shocking.
On the other hand, my guess is that 7/10 fighters use something to enhance their performance/recover from injuries faster, and I have no strong reason to suspect that Ubereem is in the minority. The distinction between legal and illegal performance enhancing techniques is becoming very blurry, with the difference sometimes being arbitrary.

I personally feel it's why American Fighters tend to have longer Careers than Foreign fighters. There's many "legal" ways to enhance your longevity that aren't really available unless you're a US citizen.
I. E. Everyone from Team Quest.
