Josh Koscheck was scheduled to be Carlos Condit's opponent at UFC 143 until Georges St. Pierre injured his knee and was forced out of his title fight. The UFC decided to match Condit with Nick Diaz for the interim welterweight title. Koscheck was left without an opponent while the UFC was dealing with the fall out of St. Pierre's injury.
During this time Koscheck was attempting to get a fight at 185, even tweeting that he'll have an announcement soon. Looks like the UFC have decided to keep Koscheck busy at weltwerweight with a fight against Mike Pierce. Piece has a grinding style that could cause Koscheck fits. Pierce tweeted, "It's on! KOS tried wiggling outta this one too, but Feb 4th he's mine #ufc#ufc143".

I like Pierce, but Kos is a more complete fighter then him. His stand-up is much better as well, IMO. With that being said I see Kos winning this however he chooses too.

I like this matchup a lot...much better than Condit vs Kos. makes a lot of sense to test whether Pierce is ready for the next level. For Kos, maybe not so much...I think he should strongly consider the 185lb division that doesn't exactly have a stacked wrestling division--something he could take advantage of.
