I guess Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's tweet about not fighting in Japan was a little premature. It turns out the former Pride star will indeed be headed back to the Saitama Super Arena one more time, and he will face Ryan Bader at UFC 144. Brett Okamoto of ESPN has the confirmation:

The UFC has granted Quinton Jackson's request to fight in Japan in February.

The former light heavyweight champion will meet Ryan Bader at UFC 144. UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta confirmed the matchup to ESPN.com

I wish I were high right now. I'd find this to be way more amazing then it actually was.

BUT...

back to this article.

I love this. I honestly didn't even think of this fight but with Bader coming off a ridiculous one punch knockout win I think this might be the best option for Rampage (If he's so determined to fight in Japan). It's a tough fight stylistically for him though. Bader is a big dude and he throws monster shots. I'm excited for this.

This is a better fight than the Rampage Bonnar match-up that was being rumored.

Absolutely. It'll be much more competitive than that IMO.

I'm a massive Rampage fan but Rampage hasn't finished anybody since 2008... I don't see him as a finisher anymore

Interesting as Rampage said he prolly wasn't going to get to fight in Japan and now he is.

Bader will need to use his wrestling and try not to just stand with Rampage.

I totally called this today. I knew they would have to put Rampage on the Japan card. Bader is the only person that would be available. Called it.

Reminds me a bit of Rashad vs Rampage

IMO Bader isn't as quick as Rashad and maybe not as good of a striker but I think he's a much better wrestler and he could give Page problems with it.
