For the fourth weekend in a row, the Ultimate Fighting Championship will be on active duty, as UFC 139 “Shogun vs. Hendo” hits the HP Pavilion on Saturday in San Jose, Calif. In the main event, 2005 Pride Fighting Championships middleweight grand prix winner and onetime UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua collides with former two-division Pride titleholder Dan Henderson.
How the battle will unfold remains anyone’s guess.
Sherdog.com caught up with a number of professional fighters and trainers to gauge their opinions on the UFC 139 headliner
Pros Picks

Interesting read. It's nice to see what some of these fighters/trainers have to say. In a 5 round fight it's going to be hard for Henderson not to land a big punch. That's why I'm inclined to pick him. I'm not going to feel comfortable no matter what my pick is though.

ive been watching this sport for some time now and ive definetely learned that picking against hendo is a BAD idea. the thing with shogun is i never know if hes gonna come with the proper training and mindset. i still think he was far from ready when he fought jones for the title.

Hendo might have a granite chin but Shogun usually finishes with a temple Shot and a flurry of Hammer fists.

I think the people who are thinking Hendo is going to grind on Shogun from top position are silly.

Feijao, Anderson and Fedor almost finished him with strikes, especially Feijao
Shogun hits harder and has better technical striking than anyone Hendo has fought, Hendo is not unfinishable by strikes, a TKO loss is certainly possible scenario for tonights fight. It's more likely to happen then for Hendo to catch Shogun with the H-bomb when thats literally the only weapon he has on the feet in this fight. If he actually lands tonight I'd be shocked, he isnt fighting an out of his prime Fedor or Babalu, he's fighting a prime Shogun.
