A featherweight bout between Antonio "Pato" Carvalho (13-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Felipe Arantes (13-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) has been targeted for January's UFC 142 lineup.
MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) today confirmed the planned matchup with event sources. The Canadian Press first reported it.
UFC 142 takes place Jan. 14 at Rio de Janeiro's HSBC Arena.
The event's main card is expected to air to on pay-per-view, though Carvalho vs. Arantes likely will be part of the preliminary card.
Carvalho was slated to fight Yuri Alcantara earlier this year at UFC 134 in Rio, but an injury forced him off the card, and Arantes instead took his spot.
