Canadian fans will have to wait a bit longer to cheer on one of their favorite sons as fast rising welterweight prospect Rory MacDonald is off UFC 140 due to an undisclosed injury.

Fellow Canadian Claude Patrick has got the call to battle Brian Ebersole in Toronto instead and has been pulled from his fight with Rich Attonito scheduled for the same night.

As a person going to this card, this really sucks. MacDonald vs. Ebersole would have most likely been a FOTN contender.

Noooooo Rory...
As a Canadia, I hope Claude Patrick wins.

But either way, both Patrick and Ebersole are great personalities and great guys.

I really liked that matchup but all well. Ebersole should take this easily, he's gonna climb up the ranks into top tier fighters within the next year or so i bet.

Im real pleased I didn't get tickets to this show now. Patricks good but man oh man does that guy know how to put on stinkers. Should be an intriguing fight.

This. Patrick is tough as hell and has a great chance of pulling the upset (Which this will most likely end up being odds wise).

They will find areplacement since theres a lot of time still

And Ebersole is too much of a vet for Claude, Patrick wont have anything Ebersole hasnt seen before. But Rory probobly would have beat him.

wow this sucks. Patrick is also a rising prospect (though not as steep as Rory), but Ebersole should take this via easy decision
