Installed it on my PC last night. Played for about an hour. Got to Riverwood and into a cave right outside to retrieve that merchant's gold horn.

I'm playing as a Dark Elf mage. Going to make myself as much of a necromancer as possible. I was killing and resurrecting chickens last night like a witchdoctor.

I finished the main quest today, now i'm busting up the side quests and dungeon clearing. Shouts are the bomb, especially dragonrend.

Sorry, I just don't get the Elder Scrolls games. I think they are painfully boring. I appreciate the draw of the sandbox environment, but I need a bit more focus with my RPG's (i.e. Dungeon Siege)

I am doing side quests so I don't beat the main quest for a while. I really don't want to beat it haha but I'm gonna have to

Best game ever made. I'm rocking a Redguard and concentrating on dual-wielding and smithing. Play balance is amazing. The only thing I didn't like about Oblivion was that the side dungeons got really boring, but they fixed that in this game. Every side place has a bit of a story to it and keeps them fresh, rather than stale caves with bandits standing around randomly.

I'm 160 hours in, stealth khajiit assassin, level 53. I don't think I've even done any of the main quest and I've only been to half of the main towns. I've just been F'ing around with the never-ending miscellaneous quests. 100 sneak/smithing/speech/conjuration with deadly archery and dual wielding daggers. I wish I hadn't spread my perks out so much though since leveling up after level 50 is slower than old people F.

I lucked out and kept my perks in 4 categories one-handed/lockpicking/speach/destruction. I'm level 58 and am still leveling quickly by using skills i generally don't use like archery/sneak/conjuration/smithing. I've read nearly every book that increases a skill and i've been saving NPCs who sell skill training for when leveling starts to slow down too much.

Take advantage of buying skill points between EVERY LEVEL. It speeds things up a lot. Also, spending perks on lockpick (aside from the Treasure Hunter Perk) and speech are a waste. Lockpicking isn't that hard and money is fairly meaningless after awhile, which is all your speech perks are good for.

Leveling up tips: Find a lot of archers, put a shield on, and crank your blocking skill.

Put on some rings, necklaces, etc of mana regeneration and cast illusion spells on yourself constantly. You can just walk around town casting.

I'll have to try this game, it's been getting a lot of hype. I guess I can play something other than Starcraft 2 for a little while.

yeah it's not bad so far, I think they should've used some standard RPG features like exclamation points / question marks for quest givers and a bubble map with a zoom feature instead of that terrible little bar at the top, but it's not bad so far.

anyone else here all the problems in the ps3 version?
It's insane. IGN and BBC did an article on it. I've yet to buy the game because of the problems they say plague the PS3 version. Anyone else got it on Playstation?

I have it on PS3. When it didn't have the patch it was very very laggy. After the patch I really only see lag when I go to a certain town and if I'm not there I experience lag in other places for 5 seconds at the most.

yeah I'm pretty addicted at this point. There's definitely a lot of bugs that should never have made it past the testing phase, but it's a good game all-in-all.

the more I play this game the more depth I find. The amount of detail they put into it is pretty amazing. I think it's a pretty exceptional game at this point.
