BIRMINGHAM, England – After being bumped from a championship fight with Georges St-Pierre in favor of Nick Diaz, Carlos Condit has his new target.
MMAjunkie.com has learned from sources close to the promotion that Condit and Josh Koscheck have verbally agreed to meet at UFC 143 in February.
UFC president Dana White revealed the likelihood of the potential booking at Saturday night's UFC 138 post-event press conference in Birmingham, England.

I think Condit should take this. I would hate to see this guy not get his title shot.

Yah i'd hate to see Condit not have his title shot, but if he can't get past Koscheck (who GSP destroyed), I don't see how he'll win against GSP (or Nick Diaz? :P) I'm rooting for Carlos tough!

I see a very similar finish to this one like the Paulo Thiago - Kos fight
NBK - - TKO in the 3rd

I like Condit to get a late submission after getting taken down a few times.

I'm not a big fan of this fight. I would rather see Condit vs Ellenberger 2, winner gets winner of gsp vs diaz. I'm worried Carlos might get UD by Kos.

It seems Condit has three fighters to choose from - Koscheck, Fitch or Ellenberger. IMO, the safest fight is with Koscheck.

I'm coming to this conclusion as well. Kos, imo, will be able to secure the takedown and lay-n-pray his way to a decision. Condit is too good on the feet and Kos knows that. This same thing happened to Pettis. He was supposed to fight the winner of the Edgar vs Maynard fight but injuries derailed that fight so Pettis, instead of waiting, took a fight against Guida and *poof*, his title hopes went out the window. I'm seeing the same happen to Condit here.
I'm hoping Condit takes it tho

So glad this is happening. Condit gets to finally prove he deserves a title shot instead of just being given one off of some decent wins but hardy and Kim shouldn't warrant it. Should be a damn good fight even if kos wrestles since Condit is always attacking on the feet and off his back like diaz. Kos better not try to stand with him. He could ko him if he lands that overhand right but its to predictable and Condit would probably outstrike him until he landed something hard to stop kos.
