Prior to their fight at UFC 137, Bart Palaszewski issued an edict to opponent Tyson Griffin to "come and fight."
Concerned Griffin (15-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC) might try to turn the bout into a wrestling match, Palaszewski (36-14 MMA, 1-0 UFC) used his pre-fight interviews to goad the fellow featherweight into a standup fight.
But on the eve of the event, his focus instead shifted to Griffin's failure to even make weight for the event.
And Palaszewski made him pay.

I think Bart got his revenge. Not only did he brutally knock him out, he went home with 25% of Tyson's purse and an extra $75k for knock out of the night.

Somebody should take it upon themselves to keep an eye out to see when they officially release Griffin. Missing weight and losing the fight? That was enough for others to get cut. I think we have seen the end of Griffin in the UFC sadly...used to be one of my favorite fighters

He didn't go in there to purposely disrespect him, and geez you got his money for it anyway....
Sad...
I love Tyson Griffin :( But its just not looking good, his post fight with Helwani he said its been a snowball of things that lead to the bad night, its been a bad year and half :(

Although it's usually not on purpose, missing weight is still extremely disrespectful to your opponent. It's unprofessional and I cheer against almost any fighter that misses weight for his fight.
