Brazilian youngster Charles Oliveira (14-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) is dropping to 145 pounds.
MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) today learned from Oliveira's manager, Wade Hampel, that Oliveira has informed UFC brass he would like for his next fight to take place in the company's featherweight division.
"Charles hopes to return to action before the end of the year, if possible," Hampel said. "We're extremely excited to see what he can achieve at 145 pounds."

I think he could make a run in this division. He was simply too small for 155.

Agreed. He's a tall guy but he's also very naturally lean. I think he'll make some waves at 145.

I like this move and Do Bronx. This is a great move because with Cerrone moving down to fight Phan, there could be Cerrone vs Oliveira 2: the lighter the better

I have the feeling if we were ever to see Aldo vs. Olivera, we could see one of the nastiest knockouts in FW history.

If Charles did well at 155, I'm sure he can do even better at 145. He's got that speed like Aldo.

You really think Oliveira would knock him out that bad?

A lot of times when guys move around in weight, I don't see it as totally necessary (like Marquardt dropping to 170), but this move totally makes sense. I think Do Bronx will definitely be a top 10 guy at some point at 145.

He was just too lean to be at 155, Cerrone looked much bigger in their fight. Like said earlier, great move from him, i can see him climbing that division quickly.
