LAS VEGAS – UFC lightweight contender Donald Cerrone (16-3 MMA, 3-0 UFC) currently has his hands full with German striker Dennis Siver (19-7 MMA, 8-4 UFC), but that doesn't mean "Cowboy" isn't already planning out his next move.

He's giving up Milk Duds and Hot Tamales.

Cerrone said after his bout with Siver at this weekend's UFC 137 event in Las Vegas, he's making a drop down to 145 pounds for one specific reason: to silence Nam Phan.

"I'm about to go to 145 (pounds) after this fight," Cerrone today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). "I'm going to go after Nam Phan. He's talking [expletive], and now I'm pissed off."

Cerrone, wtf? Not only is this a huge step down in competition, it's also pretty ridiculous to want to leave a weight class when you're on the kind of streak Cerrone is. Although it would be a fun fight to watch I really, really hate this idea.

Pretty stupid IMO.

I don't think Phan was really talking shit, more like speaking the truth.

Even Cerrone said it, when garcia gets his he turns into a wild caveman.

Maybe Garcia should have some discipline.

I can't see Dana/Joe letting that happen. Even if they were on board with him dropping to 145, I'm not sure that's a matchup they'd make. Who knows though.

Don't waste your time Cowboy, Nam is a major step down in competition....stick with 155.

Don't pick a easy fight with somebody that you know you can crush like a certain somebody @ 185.

I think it was the slant toward his coaches that got him going.

Apparently Cerrone hasn't matured mentally as much as we all thought.

Cerrone should run right through Siver with little effort. As far as 145, I don't think he's serious (at least I hope not). I honestly think he has the potential to be a top 5 lightweight soon and I really think he could beat Gilbert Melendez. However, I see him really struggling with guys like Bendo, Edgar, and Maynard. Other than maybe Alvarez, I don' think any other lightweights can beat him. I might even pick Cerrone if he were to fight Alvarez.

If Cerrone is going to be offended every time by something someone says to a team-mate of his, he better be ready to make weight for all the weight classes.

He needs to not try to avenge Garcia's losses or that's all he'll ever do for the rest of his career.

I dislike Cerrone more and more every time he flaps his gums. I'd love to see him get Bisping'd.
