“Diego’s hand, I want to say, is about 75 to 80-percent healed up. He’s lifting weights on it, he’s taking really good care of it, he’s rehabbing it hard. He’s really trying to get back as soon as possible,” Kawa told MMAWeekly Radio.

“I estimate him coming back either the first part of February or the later part of February.”

Like any injury, Kawa wants to make sure that Sanchez is back to full health before booking him in any fights, but there appear to be plenty of opportunities awaiting “The Dream” when he’s ready to come back.

Even if he waits till its 100%, the chances of re-injuring it are high. And its not like he avoid using it either. I just have a feeling he's gonna continue having problems with it

The Playground has had him listed as fighting Ellenberger at 141 for a couple of weeks now. Is there any truth to that or is it just a mistake?

Rumor is the UFC was trying to make it happen, but Ellenberger insisted that it was just a rumor and the UFC didn't approach him about the fight. I haven't heard anything about it rcently, though.

I don't think Sanchez would get a Ellenberger type fight, I think he might get someone lower.

Sanchez vs Swick maybe would be decent.

That sounds like an excellent fight. However, given how long Mike has been out, putting him in against Diego might be a bit premature?

I'd like to see him have a fight or two before that.

I have a feeling that's the fight they'll end up making. Sanchez is a large step down for Ellenberger after his latest win. I mean, you've gotta give him someone top 5. Kos, Fitch (scrap the Hendricks fight) or Penn (if he wins) will all do. Anyone else (excluding GSP, Condit and Diaz) just doesn't make sense. That's my opinion at least.

Ellenberger vs Kos would be sweet
