Georges St-Pierre's misfortune is a gain for Dustin Jacoby Brad Tavares.
The middleweights, who had been relegated to the Facebook-streamed preliminary card for next week's UFC 137 event, have been promoted the pay-per-view main card, UFC officials today confirmed with MMAjunkie.com.
A PPV slot opened when an injured St-Pierre was forced out of UFC 137's championship headliner with Carlos Condit.

Cerrone/Siver have deserved a spot on the main card from the beginning, but I understand they want fans to tune in for the Spike prelims, and if they aren't taking from Spike then I would prefer Curran/Jorgensen.

Any fight would have been better than this one imo.

Obvs ill be watching every fight on that card from prelim to main event so it doesn't matter to me but I think fans that just watch the main card deserve Curran/Jorgenson who are very close to top contenders and it would just make sense but like I said doesn't matter to me either way

This. Jacoby vs. Tavares has no business being on the main card. I was confused at why it was the prelims headliner, let alone this. Definitely should have went to Curran/Jorgensen.

It is odd to see this picked for the main card, but nothing can really be changed on the spike prelims b/c of ads/promos that they probably have already done.

They probably want to keep Jorgensen/Curran on the prelims for the same reason they want Cerrone/Siver on Spike, to make sure there's at least one fight to make fans tune in.
