While injury forced a short delay in Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez's planned title defense with season-four tournament winner Michael Chandler (8-0 MMA, 5-0 BFC), fans won't have to wait long for the contest.
Originally scheduled to take place at this weekend's Bellator 54 event, company brass recently announced the matchup has been moved back just five weeks and will take place at November's Bellator 58 card.
Already featuring middleweight champion Hector Lombard in a 195-pound non-title fight with Trevor Prangley, Bellator 58 takes place Nov. 19 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla.

Glad to see this fight rescheduled. Alvarez should take this one fairly easy

Really? Chandler is a powerhouse wreslter. That could give Alvarez problems. Alvarez might not get finished, but could lose a decision.

Chandler's wrestling is going to be very difficult to deal with but I still expect Eddie to be able to stuff the majority of his takedowns and eventually catch him with a RNC. Maybe 3rd or 4th round. I'm about as biased as it gets with this pick though.

well, anything can happen. That's why I said should and not will. I don't see Alvarez losing, although he may get in some sticky situations. He will either win with a late tko or a UD

I almost see this similar to Aldo/Mendes matchup.
Will these big wreslters gas out going for these takedowns and if they don't get them and have to have blood pumping to all those muscles.
