The bloated B-movie action star made a surprise phone call to "Bones" prior to his UFC 135 title fight opposite "Rampage" Jackson back on Sept. 24 in Denver, Colorado. But what did he have to say? Jones details his "strange" conversation with Seagal in a recent appearance on the Jim Rome show.

As if his role in Machete wasn't bad enough, we gotta hear about him trying to cling to relevance by getting in with these fighters. Don't get me wrong, I live me some B-rated movies but he should just leave it at that

I think B-movie star is a strech for Seagal, I'd have him lower.
Jones did say if it was Jet Li that would he would have let him in or whatever.

WHAT!?!?!?!?!
I think Seagal's impact on the Hollywood scene and his legacy as an actor are clearly defined in the epic 1996 film Executive Decision. His most career-defining role to date!

When I saw the interview with Ariel I seriously thought Segal was just really drunk or fucked up on some drugs. The way he talks and just everything about him, theres something not right with this guy

Definitely interesting interview...I thought he was trying to build a mystique around himself and he was drunk on his own juice...Loved him deflecting how figths would go and that every fight hes picked right and the outcome...
Seagal needs to come to the playground and start picking with the rest of us...

People need to ease up a little, Segal knows his shit. I didnt like him much, Until I watched Lawman, It showed you he really is gifted. Life is to short to talk trash about someone who is different, Let alone anybody.
I never seen anyone 'push' 2 bullet's though the same hole, After relaxing his aim too. I know its easy to pick on the guy, But he is great. So he made some money doing shitty films, Who cares.
I really wish he was younger because he would be a killer in the UFC. Hate on me if it makes you feel better, Just my honest opinion. Peace

If by "bullets" you really mean "knuckles", cowcatcher does that to himself all the time.

I don't have a problem with his movies...I've even enjoyed a few in my day. I don't even have a problem with the way he carries himself. I may poke fun at his current physical condition from time to time, but I realize he's put his time into martial arts. My beef is how he's gonna try and step into a fighter's locker room the night of a fight and try to steal the thunder around his victory. He didn't train with Jones during his training camp, but rest assured he'd be willing to take credit for his accomplishments for a 5 minute pep talk prior to the fight. His interview with Ariel explains everything. It's not difficult to read between the lines with everything he said. He may have some MA skills, but he's far from a master of psychology. "Shady" barely touches on what Mr. Seagal is up to these days.

Bruce Lee and Steven Seagal are the only two martial arts practitioner who I think would have been great and most likely dominating if they were competing in mma in their time.
Lee has proven he was a real fighter and was the first mma fighter to employ techniques from various arts.
Although I have never seen Seagal in an actual fight, I have seen many of his training clips. IMO, he would have owned the UFC LHW division in his prime. In his training, exhibition and demonstration clips, one can see Seagal moves with accuracy and fluidity which is very difficult to do even if it was staged.
The guy has a lot of talent. He has been trained in Eastern art and philosophy by which many will just assume he is weird.
Props for standing up to the masses.
On a side note, I thought Cowcatcher pulled a fast one on me when I could not log on.
