5 yrs of Tang Soo Do/ blackbelt (kinda like TKD but focus mostly on punches)
2 yrs of kickboxing
1 yr of wrestling
I have about 40 trophies for kickboxing.
and I'm starting BJJ in about 2 months!

I'm only 16 and I can't wait to get my lisence to go to phillymma. My dream is to become a pro fighter and hold a belt. I actually have talent too haha I'm not someone who says that they want to be a pro fighter and don't even know what a muay thai clinch is.

Good call, I agree completely. I don't want to come on here with grappling problems only to take advice from someone whos never grappled.

EDIT: I've done about half a year of Judo under Bill Thomson, he also teaches me nogi grappling and a little wrestling.

I've got a year of high school wrestling, had my first comp at 2 months so I obviously lost (0-2). Year and a half of karate and some Capoeira. With that and wrestling self taught myself submissions and had some backyard MMA fights where I went 3-0. Continued self teaching, did Judo for 6 months before getting injured in training. Took a while off, then got back in doing a casual MMA group with some Hapkido, Judo and Wing Chun people. Still basically self taught at that time. Did an amateur Pankration tourney and lost in the first round. I started training with Chris Franco after that and have been there for over 2 years now. Since then I've got a 2-2 record in Pankration and a 7-3 record in Submission Wrestling. I'm also teaching some of the childrens' classes for grappling.

How is Greco? Its a really good thing to have MMA wise IMO, but there isnt anywhere in my area that specializes in Greco.

Is it mostly upperbody grappling?

started wresting when I was a young kid and did that up to grade 10 or so.

General fitness for 10 years

Overally 12 years of official martial arts training:
5+ years of Jujutsu
5 years of judo
2+ years of aikido
casual 'backyard' BJJ/MMA

I've done a lot of Japanese sword stuff (kendo and jenjutsu in those years too), but am less interested in that now.

I would really like to learn more about striking. My elbows and knees are good from jujutsu, but I wouln't claim to know much about kicking and punching.

I would like to train more, but with grad school and starting a family soon, I don't think that's going to happen.

it is basically upper body throws on the feet, you arent allowed to use your legs like in freestyle on the ground either. think judo fused with freestyle, any wrestling club will have people to teach you, and if you have a judo, sambo, or wrestling background its easy to pick up on the little rules changes.

Ok here goes.

I have played sports all my life. I work to help people everyday with health. I sell fitness equipment.

Been working out for 8 years.
Football for 15 years...could have had a shot in the CFL but it's just not worth it for $42k.
Hockey for 8 years.

I have went on some crazy journeys...

Current stats
Weight 255
Bench 225 X 18
Squat 405 X 13(no belt or wraps)
Deadlift 405 X 17

I don't do 1rms anymore since i just think i will risk hurting myself without a spotter since i workout by myself.

Current Goals...

Weight 225
Keep all those lifts the SAME.

Train for MMA like i did for football. I aint going to jump in like some have done in the past. I will take my time learn the tchniques, be in great condition.

I have the genetics and the build...TRUST ME. Now i just need to put in the time.

I know A TON about supps...especially natural ones...since that is how i have done my work. I know about other things ie steroids because i have done tons of research on them. I think they are fascinating but after training so long to get to where i have i feel that i would cheat myself of my own creative potential of creating more gains simply by using more intelligent means.
