Jon Jones is set to defend his title against a determined Quinton Rampage Jackson.

Did anyone else find this funny?^^^

I once thought Rampage had the makings of a champion prior to his fight with Wanderlei while back in Pride. His determination has withered since the fall of Pride and it is only with a high power camera that one can see a hint of determination in Rampage.

If this is considered fighter bashing, please delete the thread.

I think Rampage is clearly a better fighter now, than when he was in Pride.

Rampage is still among the best fighters in the world at 205 and he's much better than he was in the days of Pride.

I think his determination started to drop once he lost his belt. When he first hit the UFC he was the cats meow. Once he list the belt, then went on that police chase he just lost focus. Then the movie roles started coming in. He just needs to decide where his heart is

a motivated rampage is a scary thought.

he's kind of like BJ. great tools, but when he doesn't have a motivated training camp, it shows in their fights.

There's no doubt that Rampage is among the best of the best in his division, but really can anyone see him beating Jones. Once they get in the clinch I don't see it looking any different than any of Jones' other opponents that have been there. It will probably be a quick toss and Rampage is on his back then elbows like crazy from Jones. If Rampage can get in he could land a big hook but that's it and the chances are really unlikely considering the reach advantage and Jones' ability to avoid getting hit. Just a bad match up for Rampage in my opinion. Had Rampage fought for the title against Shogun I'd have picked him for the win but this is just going to be another win for Jones I think.

In all actuality its never a givin when picking in a combat sport. A kick could land that changes the whole fight. A punch could land perfect and end the fight. Rampage could land a devastating punch that ruins my pick. That's why I love this sport. Hell, I never though Matt Serra would beat GSP or Gonzaga ko Cro-Cop. But it happened and although I lost both, I was talking about each for weeks after

There is no doubt Rampage has a legitimate chance. The guy is as tough as they come. It took Wanderlei - I don't know how many knees - before Rampage went down. Rampage definitely can land a fight changing punch and shock the mma community. My only concern is his work ethics and determination. It seems he is content making money whether he wins or loses.

On another note, I am so fearful of what Rampage may be able to do I have elected to not bet against him in this event. I keep having visions of Jones being sprawled out on the canvass.

1/3 of my parlay is on Jones. The fight I didn't bet on was Boetsch vs Ring.

Ferg, Diaz, Kos.

3-1 odds and just about a lock. I bet on everyone this card.
