Every time I go there, I leave the site wanting to commit mass genocide. Enough's enough already! I feel like I should put my foot down, lol. Has anyone else stopped going to that crap hole?

As much as I hate most of the threads on there, they usually break the biggest news first. Sherdog.net got so many hardcore members that scan through the net for news that it's almost impossible not to find it first there.
Other than that, I hate sherdog.net. Sherdog.com is the shit though . My fav site easily.

I pretty much swore it off when I came here. You can't get a point across in their forum. Most of them can not respectfully disagree with your opinions. Instead they try to up their post count by calling you a tuf noob or whatever else they say. I'm not stupid enough to take it personally or anything, it just gets real annoying. I like to get others opinions and points, that way I can develop clearer outlooks on a topic. But over there a lot of people up there post count by doing nothing but flaming on other peoples post and all of a sudden they are mma geniuses because they got a colored belt.

There are a lot of reasons to dislike the Sherdog forums but I still check them daily (I don't post though). I really do understand why you hate them: 1) The same topics over and over again 2) People bashing anything and everything even without reason 3) People thinking your post count means how smart you are 4) False links 5) People saying fighters are overrated after a loss 6) People overrating fighters after a win 7) The basic stupidity of at least 75% of the people on there
IMO though, the Mayberry Lounge is good, though it's not about MMA, and with some patience, you can find some really good posts.

I never posted at sherdog and don' t plan to. I read one thread after GSP beat Hughes and felt sick to my stomach.
In fact it turned me off to MMA forums in general. I was a member here for a couple months before I started posting.

Yeah, I am still a white belter there so I rarely post unless I can't help myself. They do have some interesting topics, but posting is a hazard for sure.

Yeah the whole post count =mma intelligence thing over there is just ridiculous. I just had to register as a new member cause I got an ip ban over there for "bashing" frank mir by saying he got brutally ground and pounded by pade pano and made my first post the day and in the thread I responded too there was at least 30-40 "tuf noob" comments by "yellow"belts and "black belts" boosting up their post count.

not to nuthug mma playground, but yeah this site is way better than sherdog. I can honestly say that Sherdog can make you lose faith in humanity.
That said, the fightfinder is gold for researching fighters. I never post on the forums anymore and rarely read them. Something unappealing about reading page after page of people insulting each other in L33t speak.

I'm a member of Defend.net, sherdog, and MMAplayground and out of the three MMAplayground runs circles around them all.
Sherdog forums are for insane idiots that enjoy making fun of white belts cause they have no life outside the net, that's probably why the color of there belts mean so much, it's all they got going for them
Defend.net's forums are decent, it's not very active though but still not to bad.
this sites just awsome, out of the couple months I've been here I've seen only one flame war.. It's nice how much respect people have for each other here
