He kept it quiet from all but those closest to him, but Seth Petruzelli probably would have retired had Ricco Rodriguez beat him at Bellator 48.
When he instead knocked out the former UFC champ, he experienced a rush of emotions not unlike those he experienced in his CBS-televised win over Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson some three years ago.
"If anyone watched when I fell on the ground (after the fight), I was laughing and crying at the same time," he today told MMAjunkie.com.

The outcome of this fight was a great way to gauge the differences in levels of competition that Seth and Ricco have faced. Ricco hadn't lost in a while and Seth got whooped by two virtual no names in the UFC. However Seth whooped Ricco handily and fairly quickly. Enough said.

and more importantly..... he knocked out ricco. if theres anybody that needs to retire its ricco. props for what hes accomplished but i think its his time.

Ricco looked terrible, both literally and his striking.
but i guess we all know Seth's finishing move...the fade away jab
