I would have included more positions but I ran out of room in the poll. Personally, I'm more of a bottom game kind of guy so guard is my #1 position. If there is a more specific position that you favor or one that I was unable to include in the poll, add it in the comments.

I like to be in side when I grapple for fun. But I also like to be on back with someone in my guard.

I've always had a weak spot for butterfly guard, considering most guys know it but hardly ever use it.

I like the butterfly guard, it comes in handy. A lot of the people I grapple with dont use it, only a few of us do.

I don't train. I just love the sport and study up on it.

my favorite would have to be side control with butterfly coming as a close second. I love working butterfly guard against the bigger guys in my gym, but I am most comfortable and well versed working anywhere on top.

Half guard top or bottom against BJJ person because there are some really cool sweeps and chokes you can get. Top side control if they guy has a good wrestling back ground because it sucks having a good wrestler smother you and its funny to watch a wrestler suffer on his back .

Wow, mount isn't too popular. It's funny how it's such a dominant position in MMA, yet in pure grappling it's options are somewhat more limited than side control or other positions.

My experience is mount is pretty easy to escape from with a good shrimp crawl. I remember not to long ago some mma fighter saying he doesn't like to get mount because it is hard to control your opponent. It might have been Randy.

I'm actually known amongst the people I train with for jumping guard on people and pulling guard in pretty much any way I can. I love working off my back and I'm too small in comparison to the people I train with to be able to shoot a double with any level of success. I love working from my guard because there is so much you can do from guard it's ridiculous.

I picked "other guard" since I'm a 10th Planet guy and love to play rubber guard, but back mount would definitely be my other favorite. Tons of options and you're not in any danger.
