Junie Browning, the former Ultimate Fighter bad boy who was cut by the UFC after an arrest in 2009, has his biggest fight since then on Saturday night, on the MMA Fight Pit: Genesis pay-per-view. But if Friday's weigh-in is any indication, Browning still doesn't have his head screwed on right.

Browning weighed in at 162.25 pounds for the lightweight fight, or 7.25 pounds over the limit. A fighter coming in overweight by any amount is unprofessional, but coming in overweight by that much is absolutely inexcusable.

Winning one of his last five and coming in 7 pounds overweight makes me think he's just fighting for the money because he's obviously not getting more talented.

Tompkins isn't still training this burnout is he ?

Oh yeah, and let's not cross the fighter bashing line. At least I think he's considered a "fighter"?

I think your right kpro, Junie hasn't really gotten better. Coming in overweight is something that shouldn't happen at this level. Junie is still young and could, theoretically, turn things around but with his self-destructive attitude its probably unlikely

Is the fight still on though, b/c that could scrap the secondary card.

I know I prolly wouldn't take the fight if my opponent came in that overweight.

Both guys didn't make weight, and will both be fined for each pound. Don't see that often.

New Mexico allows 2 pounds over and Junie's opponent was a last minute replacement that came in at 158 so he really was only 1 pound over as a late replacement. Junie knew about the fight for months and still couldn't even get down to 162. Just sad. Glad I picked against him even if he does win.

Thanks for adding the part where 2 pounds over is allowed, because at first it looked like 4 fighters missed weight.

that's a shame.... he really is a whackadoo and can't get control of his life... he needs to be in therapy or something instead of the gym

he's the kind of ass that makes mma look bad and prob flaunts his "former ufc" status and mma fighter and picks on people

I have more interest this season because I'm actually doing good. If I was doing bad I wouldn't care

I was going to order this on PPV starting in 15 minutes because I thought it'd be $9.99 and streams would be hard to come by and I'd get to watch:

Houston Alexander vs. Razak Al-Hassan
Jens Pulver vs. Coty Wheeler
Junie Browning vs. Jacob Clark
Jamie Yager vs. Willie Parks
Tyler East vs. Prince McLean
Angelica Chavez vs. Diana Rae

But it's $29.99!

For that? No thanks.
