Watched "Dark Skies" last night. It started decent and I found myself getting bored by the end.

Just watched "This Is The End". I had some serious laughs in this one.

The Conjuring. Everbody liked this movie. I thought it was okay. I guess I'm not big on exorcism movies.

Scenic Route. I thought it was pretty good, not great though. One of those movies that has it's moments but was a little slow at times.

Captain Phillips

Went to the theater this evening and watch this. My local theater was doing a canned food drive. Bring in 5 canned goods get to watch a movie of choice.

As for the movie I liked it. I always enjoy movies that are based off of true events. I recommend this one too.

Real Steel

It was pretty cool. watched with my 4 yr old son. He really got into the robot fight scenes. It was shot right here in Detroit so being able to recognize some of the areas where pretty cool too.

The Way Way Back- It was okay Comedy/Drama. Sam Rockwell was pretty funny funny in it. Movie was kind of predictable from the beginning.

Parkland- Its about the JFK assassination. Story about the Doctors, Secret Service men, Oswald family and Abraham Zapruder before during and after the Shooting. Some big names in it.

R.I.P.D This movie could be sick if it were made better. I give it 4 or 5 out of 10. With a better director and someone else besides Ryan Reynolds, this movie could be dope

The marketing for the movie didn't help either. RIPD is a horrible pun and the advertising for the movie was horrendous.

its a comic. Thats why they kept the title

2013 movies seen so far...

12 Years a Slave - best movie I've ever seen. Unless Wolf of Wall Street or American Hustle are somehow better this film will/should win best picture.

Gravity - I see why it is getting rave reviews. Overall nothing wrong with the movie. I'd give it an 8/10. Still a great film though.

The Way Way Back - Love Rockwell, Steve C. once again showed that he can act. The kid was solid played the role you would expect him to. A heartfelt film and pretty funny.

The Conjuring - Really solid horror flick. Went with make up instead of CG which was really nice to see. Went back to a more classic horror route which is always nice.

Man of Steel - complete garbage. Honestly hardly anything positive for me from this movie. Besides that it looks great. Oh I was on 2 sets of the movie though. So that is cool?

Pacific Rim - Loved it. Great action movie. Cheesy acting sure but what did you expect from a monster movie?

This is the End - funniest movie I've seen in a while. However, it won't stand the test of time since it has a ton of pop culture references to our day and age.

Monsters U - a good movie but still not what Pixar should be doing. I blame Disney personally but I wanna see more original movies from Pixar again.

World War Z - solid movie. PG13 bogged it down. South Park did it better

Iron Man 3 - terrible twist. Like really really bad. Plus leave the girlfriends/wives whatever out of the superhero picture. I get why they are in there but when they defeat a villain. Come on man.

Star Trek Into Darkness - great movie. Cumberbatch is awesome. Only reason I have hope from the new Star Wars.

Elysium - good sci fi flick. Loved the special effects. Not as good as District 9 but it still was a good movie.

The World's End - better movie than This is the End but not as funny. But still great movie. 8/10.

Evil Dead - watch it. Loved it. Wasn't a remake but more of a tribute to the original. If you like Evil Dead then watch the new one. 100,000/10. Groovy.

Oz the Great and Powerful - oh Sam Raimi. Great talent. Love him. But this movie wasn't very good.. Cool to kind of see the origin of Oz though. +10 points for a Bruce Campbell cameo though.

Still a ton of movies I have to see. But yeah.

I really didn't have high expectations going in, I just assumed it would be a good funny movie. Kind of like a Ted or Tropic Thunder type funny. So I guess it took me by surprise
