Tim Kennedy is looking for a fight. Does anyone have one for him?

The Special Forces soldier is frustrated. He said it's been a while since he's had a good scrap.

In his past three fights, his opponents have spent more time backing away from him than engaging.

He said his most recent opponent, Robbie Lawler (18-8 MMA, 2-4 SF), is guilty of that charge, and Kennedy (14-3 MMA, 5-1 SF) isn't afraid to say it. Following a unanimous decision over the former EliteXC champion this past Saturday, Kennedy, an active duty solider in the Texas National Guard, said he's getting tired of chasing down a firefight.

"I was really disappointed with myself, and honestly, Robbie," he today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). "I wanted to meet in the middle and go. I felt like I was chasing him for 15 minutes, so yeah, bittersweet."

Not two days after their meeting at "Strikeforce and M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Henderson," Kennedy is back at the gym, taking out his frustration on heavy bags and other things that can be hit.

This guy is talking out of his ass. Whenever Lawler tried to open up with his hands, Kennedy shot for the take down. That's why Lawler wouldn't stand at the center and trade with him. Don't whine about guys not wanting to stand and trade with you when you're the one who shoots for takedowns when the going gets tough.

Tim is right.

Lawler looked contempt to collect his paycheck......what was up with his passive demeanor in round 2 and 3

I didn't see him do anything aggressive on the feet.

What a joke.

"I only shot like eight or nine times that entire fight,"

It's not like Lawler was trying to take him down, you were trying to take him down. Lawler just isn't going to stand right in front of you and throw punches.

Oh how about you stand and trade with Manhoef? Oh wait, you took him down and submitted him, yet you want people to stand and trade with you.

Is he being serious? This kind of reminds me of something Chael would do/say. Which is why it doesn't surprise me that Chael up there agreed with him.

I had to do something similar when I was trying to prop Grappler for a funny video.

Lawler didnt look good in the 2nd or 3rd, but its not like tim was chasing him around the cage. I respect his fighting and he might be a good person but he is an idiot.

Kennedy is a dick and while I really hate to say it, he just lost the last bit of respect I gave him for serving our country. I was at the fight, and Kennedy was backing away from Robbie before/after his takedown attempts. For him to call Robbie out like that is not only unfounded, but as classless as it gets.

He complains when he loses and now he's complaining after he wins. What's up with this guy?

He honestly cant believe his own words! Lawler would have taken his head off if they banged it out.
Its hard to trade with someone when they are constantly hugging ure legs, someone should explain that to him.

While I agree these comments are stupid people can not deny that lawler looked sluggish out there. Even when he was behind he fought with 0 sense of urgency
