Sometimes the food chain works itself out rather nicely.

Such is the case with the bantamweight division, which is filled with talent but before just a few days ago had little order and direction. That's no longer the case after matchmaker Joe Silva and UFC President Dana White went to work and figured it all out.

I don't like that, there's plenty of other hungry up and comers who also deserve a shot. If this truly is the case, I really hope that Bowles wins.

Exactly, if they don't start promoting other young guys, the division is gonna get stail real quick. It's like Faber loses, wins, then he gets a title shot again. Doesn't make sense. It makes it look like the Bantamweight division is weak and I know its not

I agree with you both. While thw BW division isn't weak, it isn't as stacked as even Featherweight. However, that is no reason for Urijah to get another title shot after one win.

Bowles, however, if he wins will be three in a row. Not always enough for a title shot, but in this division, he can make the case for it. Bowles' only career loss was to Cruz, he would deserve a shot way more than Faber if he were to win.

As much as I like to watch Faber fight, it takes more than 1 win to earn a title shot. He has lost 4 of his last 8 fights, and it seems like he has gotten a title shot after each win. Bowles on the other hand probably deserves one with a win over Faber.

Urijah gets another shot if he wins?

Poor Jon Fitch can't seem to get another shot no matter what

This just shows to me a lack of depth in the division IMO.

I want Faber to beat two guys before he gets a title shot. Michael McDonald is on a solid win streak in Zuffa. Have him step up and showcase him more. He's very talented for his age.

Kung Fu pisses on this bout and prays to the gods of mma that Faber or Bowles will suffer a minor injury within a few weeks of the fight.
