When the UFC heads back to New Orleans for the first time in a decade, it will do so showcasing some lightweight fisticuffs courtesy of Evan Dunham and Shamar Bailey, who have both agreed to get busy in the "Big Easy."
The promotion announced the fight booking for the Bud Light sponsored UFC Fight Night 25: "Shields vs. Ellenberger" event on Sept. 17 earlier today.
Dunham will make his way to N'awlins hoping to salvage the what's left of the considerable hype he once carried when he was still an undefeated submission freight train. That hasn't been the case since, arguably, Jan. 2010, and he's currently on his second strike having lost his last two bouts.

Weird match up here. I think Bailey gets destroyed.

This is an odd match. Does Bailey live in New Orleans or something? He is not in the same league as Dunham, not in this point of his career.
Some TUF losers need to get cut quicker than others, I suppose.

What next? Sean Sherk vs Cody McKenzie? I know Dunham has a couple losses in a row, but this is such a mismatch it's not even worth watching.

I dont find it that weird with Dunham losing streak.
We will see how good Shamar's wrestling is and how good Dunham's TDD is.

I don't understand this match-making at all, unless they just want to use Bailey as a sacrificial lamb to get Dunham back on track.
