A lightweight bout that appears destined to bring excitement to fans is in the works for UFC 137, as Dennis Siver (19-7 MMA, 8-4 UFC) and Sam Stout (17-6-1 MMA, 6-5 UFC) have agreed to meet at the event.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) today confirmed that verbal agreements are in place for the contest, which was first reported by FiveOuncesofPain.com.

Featuring a welterweight title fight between current champ Georges St-Pierre and former Strikeforce champ Nick Diaz, UFC 137 takes place Oct. 29 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

This is a great match up, and a step up for Stout, considering he just fought Yves, and Siver beat a bunch of top contenders in a row.

There are some good match ups being tossed out lately.

I'll stick with picking Siver.

This one's Siver's fight to lose. I'd say his technique's better but Stout's got some serious power. I'll say Siver UD

I'm a giant fan of both these guys... I'll have to pick Siver though, he's too much of a physical force, he lands far more power strikes and in my mind is almost like the pride Wanderlei Silva of 155, nothing but power all the time...

Good matchup, but probably a bad one for Siver. He's a solid striker, but just not as technically sound on the feet as Sam.
