As expected, fall is the time of reckoning for Gray Maynard (10-0-1 MMA, 8-0-1 UFC) and Frankie Edgar's (13-1-1 MMA, 8-1-1 UFC) unfinished business.

UFC officials today announced that the champ and No. 1 contender will meet a third time in the headliner of UFC 136, which takes place Oct. 8 at Houston's Toyota Center.

Cross your fingers.

Would be cool to have a double title fight card.

Outlaw, you sir are a dick! If someone gets re-injured, I blame you for putting the jinx out there!

Seriously though, conclusion is nearing this issue, and I can't wait. After the way the first and second fights went, I don't even want to attempt to figure this one out. I just can't wait to see it

Also, let me say this... Radical new idea..... UFC should not have a pay per view without at least two titles on the line. Maybe PPV's with only one title. But no more PPV's without titles on the line. Those cards need to be Ultimate Fight Nights or UFC on Versus cards. Step up the game on the free cards, more titles on less frequent PPV's, and I think UFC and MMA in general will take the next step.

Maybe I am just naïve and or dumb. But I like the idea.

not at all excited for this one.

But it needs to happen to get LW moving again. Might as well get it out of the way.

I do however wish that Aldo/Florian could be the main event.

The first round of the second fight was as exciting as it gets, only because Edgar was getting his block knocked off by maynard. Then maynard hazard and the rest is history. I don't think maynard will make the same mistake this time around. I look for this fight to be a barn burner
