I Would Take Bj over Nate on the sole fact that a motivated BJ Penn would be fighting and that is a scary thing. Plus Nate has still never fought at 170 lbs. yes he looked good at 170 but looks dont win u fight. I feel he still needs a legit fight at 170 before facing penn and I still feel BJ would win

The thought occurs to me that the only way Dana might allow Nate back into the UFC is if some big-ass-money-generating-rivalry such as this were to generate the interest for it. Let's see if this pissing-match has legs.

Nate would crush Beej
At welterweight? are you serious? he couldnt even make 180...Bj would have his way with a dehydrated, muscle depleted Nate.
he made the weight, he wasn't cleared because his testosterone level was too high
Lol, yeah. What are you talking about Cooler? Marquardt has videos of him weighing in close to 170 hours before the weigh in and he looked good. I think Nate at WW will be a force. I'm just wondering where he's going to go if Bellator doesn't want him.
Pretty sure it was 172. something. I'll look for the link now.
EDIT: Here's an article with a video of him weighing in at 172.6 hours before the weigh in. It also says at 11 am he weighed in at 170.8 after only being in the sauna for under an hour.
Also, here's a direct quote from the article.
"Marquardt looked far from drained or disoriented from the weight cut. The absurd rumors that he was roughly 10 or more pounds overweight are completely untrue, likely leading to more speculation that there was a potential substance issue with his medicals."

I'd take BJ all day long in this fight. His hands are far better than Nate's, and his jiu jitsu is as good or better than anyone Nate has ever faced.
Are people forgetting BJ went to a UD against Machida, and Machida had like 50 pounds on him? BJ's been undersized against pretty much every opponent he's ever fought at 170 since he's never really cut much if any weight. I don't think giving up a bit of size and strength are much of a concern to BJ.
