Promising featherweight prospect Felipe Arantes (13-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has stepped in to fill a gap in UFC 134's card.
Arantes' managers, Fred Magalhaes and Jorge Patino of Gold Team Fighters, today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that Arantes has signed with the UFC and will face Yuri Alcantara (24-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at the late-summer event.
Alcantara originally was scheduled to meet Antonio Carvalho, but Magalhaes said the Canadian has been forced to withdraw from the fight.

I wanted to see Carvalho in the UFC too, but I'm also very interested in watching Yuri Alcantara. I don't know why, but for some reason there's this annoying little voice in my head that keeps telling me he's going to be somebody or he is going to be exciting or something, I don't know why. His record looks impressive on paper, or at least in terms of win/loss ratio. If anyone could find videos of Alcantara's fights anywhere on the internet, please PM me the link. I've been trying to find some of them but have had no luck, which makes making informed picks pretty difficult. Now I've also got to try to find videos of Arantes. Being a hardcore MMA fan can be such a pain in the butt sometimes.
