Turns out all that Alexandre "Cacareco" Ferreira (18-6 MMA, 0-1 UFC) injured may have been his career.

The one-time UFC fighter, who was expected to fight in August at "UFC 134: Silva vs. Okami," was not pulled from the card due to an injury but rather because he has been released by the promotion.

Aside from a death in the family, when the ufc calls your name, its probably smart to not pull out of it. You never know when they will call your name again. In the words of letrell sprewell "you gotta feed your family"

i guess he wasnt confident in his abilities to beal Paul Harris. and 2 unspectacular showings could have gotten him released anyways.

either way though, he lost a chance at a decent payday

I don't know why he didn't sign the bout agreement. I guess he doesn't want to be a f**king fighter.
