Yesterday we told you about B.J. Penn's comments regarding a possible rematch with Jon Fitch. BJ claimed that Joe Silva didn't want to book the fight due to lack of fan interest. Right after that, he spoke to Carlos Condit via twitter and agreed to fight him. Clearly, Mr. Fitch isn't too happy about the situation

Keep your head up, Fitch. That record can only be ignored for so long, and it will only keep improving.

No good sulking over it. I'm sure they'll match him up with a reasonable opponent. If he doesn't take the fight that's his choice. Story wanted to fight him but Fitch wanted no part of it. Thems the breaks kid.

I feel bad for Fitch. He honestly deserves the next shot, I hope he can finish someone his next fight, that will shut everyone up.

record doesn't mean crap if hes not beat anyone important... and not many fans like to watch a guy dry monkey hump another guy for 15 minutes... thats all Fitch ever does in any fight...

It's this kind of behavior that makes me not like Fitch.

It was Joe Silva's decision to nix the fight, and Fitch turns around and insults Penn's character because hes mad. Thats cry-baby behavior, and its directed at the wrong person.

Maybe if he didn't have such a victim complex the UFC would treat him better.

He nixed the fight because Fitch is a boring fighter who always plays it safe. I've beaten that dead horse over and over, but I just can't say it enough. No one wants to watch him fight--no one is willing to pay for it. I'm sure he has some loyal followers, and he certainly knows how to win--but what does that matter if no one is going to pay to see it? You also have to recognize that it's more than just winning--you're there to entertain as well. Some guys understand that, some don't. I'm personally ecstatic to see Penn go up against Condit. Bj won the first bout anyways as IMO and many others, there's no way Fitch should have gotten a 10-8 in the final round.

He is the true number one contender and arguably the second best WW in the world. The ufc knows this and so do the fans.

Fitch should not worry too much. His has a solid future with the ufc and something tells me Fitch will be fighting for either the vacant WW title or someone other than GSP for the title. *crosses fingers*
