Nik wins Fight Of The Night Bonus, and the fight was ruled a No Contest due to the illegal knee. Back home then up to watch my sons soccer games in Duluth tomorrow. Then back to the Academy solid til mid July. Volkmann next for UFC in August.

I just can't get past how awful that ref is. I mean seriously, he was in clear sight and it was so obvious he had a knee down. That's just a gigantic **** up.

I can only hope they rematch so Oliveria can crush Lentz again.
Illegal knee or not, Oliveria was going to win that fight. IF the ref that caught the knee who knows if Lentz might have recovered and then fought on.

After what happened in the Kongo/Barry fight, I'm surprised you're saying this.

The Wilcox vs. JZ fight in Strikeforce last week was rulled a NC and I got my parlay money back on here, actually they ignored that fight all together and I won.

Good for Lentz. I think I'm the only one on The Playground that actually likes the guy.

That was stopped as a result of the eye poke, though. No one was declared the winner only for it to be overturned the following day as is the case with Lentz/Oliveira. Had that fight been declared a NC by the end of the event, it would have been scrapped from the PG picks altogether. It wasn't, therefore the result (according to our picks here) was Oliveira via R2 Sub.

They don't change results after the fact here, the Wilcox/JZ fight was ruled a NC during the fight
As far as any betting site, or this site, it will forever be remembered as a rd 2 Submission win for Oliviera.

Lentz isn't a big scary man though. I thought Lentz was almost done in the first.

what evidence that entire fight gave you any impression Lentz would have come back? he had no gas left at the time of the knee, and with that being a flush knee i highly doubt he would have recovered. Jorge Rivera vs Bisping for example

What evidence did Kongo give while flopping around trying to stay conscious from Barry's attack, that he was about to land the KO of the night? its a fight, **** happens.
