Sometimes when you ask, you shall receive.
Two former middleweight title contenders will battle it out as Tim Kennedy gets his wish and will face Robbie Lawler at the upcoming Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson card.
Strikeforce officials announced the new bout on Thursday.
Kennedy has been targeting the July 30 date for a while now, and just last month expressed his desire of opponents when speaking with MMAWeekly.com.

Same. We are in the process of getting a suite locked up. I was worried that Strikeforce may just throw some so/so fights on the card with the main event being so big. It is actually shaping up to be a damn fine event.

I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

HOW?!! The guys TDD is damn near non existant, sub defense is almost as bad, doesn't sweep well from off his back and has an endurance problem.....the only way I see Robbie winning this is by flash KO in the first. I am a big Robbie supporter but the fact that he hasn't learned the ground game fundamentals by now after working with Hughes for so long is extremely disappointing and should be noted as the reason that he hasn't been invited back to the UFC.
