UFC veteran Jorge Gurgel will look to string together back-to-back wins for the first time in four years when he collides with The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 8 alum Joe Duarte in the Strikeforce: "Challengers 18" main event at "The Palms" in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Aug. 12, 2011.

It's a good fight, but even for a challenger's card I find it a questionable main event. Strikeforce match maxing (well I should say cards) have always for the most art made little sense to me.
Id think it's the main event for the name value, and because Gurgel is coming off of a win. Someone mentioned he was 1-2, but he is actually 2-2 (Conar Huen and Bully Vaughan are the wins).
