Why did Dave Herman (21-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) keep smiling as Jon Olav Einemo (6-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) punched him in the face?

"I guess I was just in a good mood that day," he told MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio).

He needs to join a good camp, b/c I know in the past he hasn't trained the best and wasn't fighting the top competition.

So he's in the UFC now and needs to be ready to take that step up in competition, he does need some work but he is very young and experienced though.

When a BJJ guy is giving you that much trouble on the feet you've got issues. I predict bad things for Mr herman when he fights a more active fighter, right now I think guys like Meathead and Beltran would destroy him. I hope I'm wrong though he's a pretty entertaining personality.

Despite his performance at UFC 131 and him being a genuine douche, he is one of the most talented prospects ive seen for some time and he can perform a lot better than he did. Hes got amazing striking and can hold his own on the ground.

With that being said he might want to consider dropping to 205. His domination of Heavyweight is only going to last so long before he has to face guys like Cain, Dos Santos, Brock, Carwin, etc who can easily control a guy his size.

Einemo is an MMA guy, not a BJJ guy. He's trained for many more years with vastly better striking partners than Herman. Herman hasn't had Golden Glory level striking training partners.

Herman trained out of his living room and friend's basement until he was 15-1 in 2009.

If Greg Jackson, Firas Zahabi or Matt Hume got their hands on this kid he could be very good.
