Following a UFC 131 main-event loss to Junior Dos Santos, Shane Carwin was unavailable to the media in the post-fight press conference and instead was ushered to the hospital.
Carwin, who was badly bloodied in the first round of Saturday's fight, ultimately survived the onslaught and settled for a unanimous-decision loss.
In a blog post, Carwin discussed the fight while confirming a suspected broken nose and a possible orbital fracture.

im sure his nose will never look the same again. it was pretty well flatened. hopefully his eye is all good.
