The hand injury that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson sustained this past Saturday at UFC 130 is serious – but perhaps not serious enough to stall his career.

As light-heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones (13-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) tells it, Jackson (32-8 MMA, 7-2 UFC) will get a shot at his belt.

"I'll be fighting Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson next," Jones told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) on Thursday. "I'm not allowed to discuss the date because I didn't sign a contract, but yeah, it will be very soon."

Jones by TKO rd 2.
Rampage isnt quick enough or smart enough to beat Jones, or even be in the same playing field as him. I actually like Rampage, but this is a terrible match up for him.

Jones by 2nd round tko. Jones is the future and Rampage is unfortunately the past. This might be the last fight we see him in so enjoy it while it lasts.

Yeah, I'm predicting Jones by any way he wants it as well.

Rampage is best against slow, wild, or basic strikers who'll stand with him. Rampage's edge in classic boxing technique will avail him little against the reach, power, speed and creativity of Bones. And while Rampage's takedown defense is excellent, I think he'll have no answers in the clinch beyond a solid uppercut. He showed a frankly tepid and defenseless guard against Forrest, so I think Bones would have as much trouble on the ground as with Bader.

How can Rampage win? Bones comes in hurt, tries to exchange for too long within Rampage's range, or gets caught by a monster uppercut in the clinch. All of these are low percentage, and as much as I like Rampage personally, I see him losing as clearly (if not as brutally - possible but those kinds of finishes are impossible to predict at this level) as in his second match with Wandy.

Rampage by triangle choke rd 1.

And then he wakes up and it's fight day. He turns up and gets knocked out within 2 minutes.

Rampage is a has-been. Bones will win but I still think bones is ducking Evans.

I don't think Jones is ducking anyone. I think Jones is the best fighter in the world right now. SO why would he duck anyone???
