UFC 130 fighter payouts for those who competed at the "Rampage vs. Hamill" event this past Saturday night (May 28, 2011) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas were released earlier today by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton Jackson split the top spot with ex-heavyweight champ Frank MIr, as both fighters took home an event-leading $250,000, for their winning performances in "Sin City."

"Rampage" bested Matt Hamill ($32,000) while Mir outpointed Roy Nelson ($15,000).

TUF winner Nelson only takes 15k, does that seem low to anyone else or is it just me?

I think it's a bit low for someone who won TUF. I would start paying him less until he gets in shape.

That is Dana White for you....

We should be professional when doing business. However, if you are fighting for the ufc, a little ass kissing should not hurt.

Roy should not be penalized for voicing his honest opinions but like all companies, you need to kiss a little ass to get ahead.

But yeah, that is extremely low for someone who has won the TUF.

To be fair, you don't know what's going on behind the scenes. You don't know the language in his contract. You don't know *exactly* how much he's being paid.

His TUF contract was a "6-figure" contract...that doesn't mean 6-figures per fight. That means 6-figures TOTAL. If I remember correctly, the contract is worth 6 fights totalling $100,000.

EDIT: This is a better breakdown LINK, assuming this guy is correct. Even if he's not, the contracts are written similar to what he's describing.

I would like to see what he made in his previous fights, so maybe I'll look that up or i might be too lazy.

Nelson's payouts...

UFC 117: $15,000

I can't find the payout info for his fight against Struve.

True - there are many things I do not know.

Regarding the 6 figure contract - if that is the case, it is not much of a contract then.

It was explained back at Tuf 3 ish that its 6 figures over 6 fights. The only real excpetion that DW talked about was Kimbo would of gotten something MUCH differnt if he won TUF, but everyone knows that his chances of winning TUF were about as good as finding a hippy virgin at Woodstock

And that is why no real up and comers like Evans Griffen Leban go on that show anymore.

Well on the link explaining it, it said it went up after each year.

But it's been 15k for the first and second year.

Or maybe it's just around 15k for each of Nelson's fights. If he is given 6 fights on the contract and suppose to add up to 100k. Then 100,000 / 6 = 16666.66667
