Former WEC champion Jamie Varner is looking to make some changes that will hopefully lead him back to the UFC, and it starts with joining New Jersey’s AMA Fight Club.

Varner really is a very talented kid, and he's still very young. It will be interesting to see how this new camp helps him out, and if he can get back in to the UFC. Although, I don't know if he even fought there before.... It would be interesting to see what weight he would look to compete in. Lightweight in the UFC is a division of murderers. Varner's boxing is a good asset for him though. Let's see how he does in the regional circuit.

He has fought in the UFC as always Cardio was the issue.

I seriously don't understand why people knock Varner's UFC stint.

He faced Franca, and won two rounds and got armbared in the third (another round he was winning). Franca fought for a title like six months later.

Varner then destroyed his next opponent in the first round.

Varner then willfully dropped down to the WEC so he could be their champion...which he immediately did.

What cardio issues are you refering too?

I forgot his run was not bad in the UFC or after that Cardio has been a issue for a while but I thought he got beat out of the UFC but I was wrong. I dissagree he was beating Franca in the third though. Well he wasn't at all Franca landed a nice knee and Varner ran away so much so that a point was taken from him. But that was a sick armbar Franca hit. I read the play by play to refresh my memory. I'm going to have to try to dig that fight up.

He had enough cardio to literally run away from Franca in the third, lol.
