I’m much focused. I’ve been training hard for two months now, there’s almost a month left before the bout, and I’m doing just fine. I’m on a great patch in my life, thanks’ God, I’m feeling fine and I want to fight. I don’t fight for a long time. Last time I fought it was August of 2010

Junior has good Cardio, but Carwin is a giant and can smash you on the cage, standing or on the ground. I dont see Junior having enough tools to get through Carwin,
Jr. is a specialist and is predictable. Carwin has the element of suprise. Im sure Carwin is pissed about his last fight, because he became nearly paralyzed by blowing his wad, and having no energy left. meanwhile he was so close to becoming a champ, and looked great in the first round, stuffing takedowns and throwing uppercuts.
Im happy they are fighting, because Mir and Lesnar are the only guys who have fought more than 1, top 5-10 UFC HW's, whereas Jr. Carwin and Cain havent fought each other yet, and still have something to prove to each other.

I don't think Junior will have that tough of a time dispatching Carwin, honestly. Carwin hasn't fought for more then a year and he's coming off back surgery. Add in taking the fight on short notice and a questionable gas tank and I think Junior takes it with a clear cut victory.

I think Lesner was a stronger pick than Carwin against JDS. Lesner has proven he can take everybody down pretty much when he wants to. Carwin while a more dangerous striker than Lesner isn't on the level of JDS, look what Gonzaga was able to do to Carwin and what JDS was able to do to Gonzaga. JDS is more precise and brings more angles, add to the fact that Carwin is going to be punching up and is coming off of a spinal injury and ring rust, I think this is the beginning of the end for a fairly old Carwin. I don't think he'll go away but he's not going to be the fighter he was at and before the Lesner fight.

Has he?
Couture, Cain, Carwin all stuffed his takedowns at a very high percent.
Now it can be questioned whether or not Junior can stop the takedowns, but i feel the initial statement is misleading.

So you think Carwin is a better wrestler than Lesner ?

JDS has to much class for Carwin, plus Carwin has shown that his boxing skills aren't that great. Gonzaga was doing that bad (rocked Carwin) before Carwin KO'ed him as to where Gonzaga couldn't do anything in the standup against JDS. JDS knocked him out with class not brute force. I see this fight going in Junior's favor. JDS via Rd1 KO

Nope, i think both have very limited takedown skills, and very tremendous ground and pound ability.
I will say, however, Carwin does set up his takedowns better. Lesnar doesn't set up his takedowns at all, he just bullrushes. So i do think Carwin is a bigger threat to score a takedown, yes. Although his preference for the stand-up will more than likely be his own downfall.
I give Carwin a much bigger chance to win that i would Lesnar. I'd give Lesnar's chances at roughly 5-10%.

JDS will surely rely on his speed and boxing to stick and move while Carwin will be looking for one big shot.
This is the case of who lands first and as Junior is the faster fighter, my bet is on him to land first and frustrate Carwin into making mistakes in the stand up which may lead to a TKO for Junior.
