A lightweight bout between K.J. Noons (10-3 MMA, 2-1 SF) and Jorge Masvidal (21-6 MMA, 2-0 SF) is now official for "Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum."

Strikeforce officials today announced the matchup, which was previously reported by MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).

"Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum," which features a heavyweight grand prix bout between Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem and grappling expert Fabricio Werdum, takes place June 18 at American Airlines Center in Dallas and airs live on Showtime...

Really good fight. I'm thinking Noons will have a pretty big advantage on the feet and will utilize it well. Noons by a pretty convincing decision.

damn..great match up..Noons is better wit his hands, but as an overall striker Masvidal has the notch..and the ground game goes to Masvidal..the Gamebred via decision...

Jorge is a pretty good striker, i wouldn't be surprised to see him out point Noons.
