Some "snow" is headed for Texas next month.

That's because Jeff Monson has apparently been signed by Zuffa and will take on Daniel Cormier at the upcoming Strikeforce: "Overeem vs. Werdum" event on June 18 in Dallas, Texas.

Cormier made note of the booking on his Twitter and ShoSports has added the bout to the fight card on its website.

Shane Del Rosario was originally scheduled to meet "DC" at the event; however, a car accident forced him out of action for an indefinite period of time.

I was wondering when we were going to see some more anarchists under the Zuffa banner! Good job bringing back the Snowman guys!

Pretty big step up in competition. If he can win impressively against Monson he'll be ready for some high profile fights.

Although Jeff is a relative unknown to "mainstream" fans, He is a definate favorite in this fight IMO. Monson has great subs and has the heart of a lion. Glad to se the "Snowman" back at it in the "bigs" Hopefully he can turn his opportunity into a UFC contract after SF folds!!!!!?????

For a long time I have considered Jeff Monson to be one of the best unsigned guys out there. Glad to see him back on the main stage with such a great matchup!
