More than he made in his last mixed martial arts fight.

That's according to Joey Gilbert, Jeff Lacy's manager, who gave Bloody Elbow the scoop on the cash flow distribution in the Diaz vs. Lacy fight that might be going down later this year.

hopefully enough for a goa'uld sarcofagus treatment :(
althoug i wish that at least 1 MMa fighter would step into a boxing ring.. so ppl would get more respect for what real hands really are! I wish Dana White will step into this and keep Diaz in MMA!
A MMA fighter getting KTFO in the boxing ring, kinda negates all that Toney s demise against Randy has done :(

I'm not sure that did anything.

No doubt. I don't think an MMA fighter beating a professional athlete from any other sport is that impressive, even if it is boxing.

Not to mention MMA, as a sport, is not in competition with boxing. As a business entity, maybe, but not as a sport.

I dont get why Diaz wants to fight a former champ, who is rumored to be way past his prime. He should fight someone good, because if Diaz wins, he wont get any props for beating someone from the past.

how about boxing one of the losers of the super six? Andre Dirrel would be good, considering he's good and doesnt Seem to wanna fight Ward.

boxing someone on the come up or in the current spotlight makes more sense to me. I don't think he can beat GSP, but he dhould take the paycut and try to be an mma champ, because he has a good chance standing and on the ground. I think the people who can beat the champs these days have to be well rounded, even if each skill isnt individually better than any one in the division.
Diaz will be a good warmup fight for a potential catchweight fight of GSP vs. Silva, I think should be at 176 lbs 5 rounds

Because Diaz wants to test himself against a known professional boxer, and is looking for a big payday. If he does well in this fight, he may want to venture further into the sport, who knows.
