Strikeforce middleweight and former Special Forces sniper/Green Beret Tim Kennedy has a lot to be thankful for this week. As a man that has served in Afghanistan and personally looked for Osama Bin Laden, he is clearly happy that justice has been served. He has spoken about this on two different radio shows in the last two days, offering an obviously unique perspective - Steve Cofield's ESPN radio show, and Sirius XM Fight Club. He also has some stuff to say in regards to his next fight:(On the Cofield show, at 11:07 mark ):TK: "It's not 100% yet, but it looks like it's going to be at the end of July on the Dan Henderson/Fedor card, and I'm already gettin' in my training camp, gettin' ready to go, so for me, I'm fighting at the end of July. I just have to get somebody to say yes to fight me. LINK

Lawler would ko him. Tims gg is good, but Lawlers sub defense is better than most, but he always fights good black belts, which makes his gg look bad.
Lalwer avoided Jacares subs a few times before tapping eventually, that was impressive to me.
Tim did better vs Jacare by going the distance, but Jacare seemed intent on standing, showcasing his new striking, which is preety good considering its a new skill for him.

Kennedy keeps calling out these strikers so he can out grapple them. He said he would stand and bang with Manhoef but he just shot in until he got Manhoef down and hes gonna do the same to Lawler. Seems like he just wants to fight good strikers with bad grappling to get some easy wins.

Yeah Kennedy would just take Lawler down. But can't blame Kennedy wanting to fight top guys before he leaves.

Yeah, he might be calling out Lawler for what he thinks is an easy win, but his plan will backfire. Lawler will show up with improved takedown defense and knock him out.

If not Lawler, then who should he be asking to fight?

i like this matchup. i could see kennedy pulling out the win. grind lawler down for a UD. kennedy is no joke and i dont see him getting KO'd as easily as some people believe.
