Rory MacDonald may have just needed a change in scenery.

A half-year after moving from his hometown of Kelowna, British Columbia to Montreal, Quebec, to work with Firas Zahabi at Tristar Gym, the Canadian welterweight is hitting his stride.

With a key victory over Nate Diaz (13-7 MMA, 8-5 UFC) this past Saturday at UFC 129, the 21-year-old MacDonald (11-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) feels he's ready for the best the division has to offer. Yet he said his skills are still a work in progress, which means he's going to be one scary guy in two or three years.

"I have many years ahead of me, and I have a lot to learn," MacDonald today told MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio). "I'm going to be much sharper every time you see me in the octagon because my life is training, literally."

I think the guys achilles heel is going to end up being his chin. It's the shape, man! Thin neck, long face, thick chin - but not fortified by his jawline. His "button" is bigger than most professional fighters.

Hardy is too far down the ladder. Story, Ebersole, Kampmann etc are all around his WW ranking

The scariest thing about MacDonald is that he's only 21 years old. He still has years ahead of him before he even enters his prime. MMA is only going to get better and better with these young kids coming up through the ranks. I love it.

I know its too early to really start thinking about this but you have Rory, GSP, and now Nate Marquardt in this division. IMO, Nate will really shine here, Rory will be a top 5 in the division by years end and GSP, well it doesnt look like anyone else is gonna take him out. Will we see more "teammate issues" here? As far as caesar gracies camp goes, Nate Diaz dropped to 155, if Nick come in to the WW division then Jake will move up to MW to avoid any possible confusion.
