Nate Diaz has apparently worn out his welcome in the welterweight division.

The younger brother of Nick Diaz initially had a strong showing with consecutive stoppages in his first two 170-pound fights, against Rory Markham and Marcus Davis, respectively, but has now lost back-to-back fights to strong grapplers in Dong Hyun Kim and Rory MacDonald.

Diaz's coach, Cesar Gracie, tells MMAmania.com his fighter out of the "209" will likely return to 155-pounds

i think he should stick to 170 now that he has gone up. 155 is going to be hard to make and it will show. I bet he is slow and sloppy in his return to 55.

Nate's problem isn't weight, it's just that he's running into better fighters. He does have skills, but he just can't hang with guys near the top, and I honestly think Rory will be in the top ten soon. Nate will just be a gatekeeper at either Welterweight or Lightweight.

If I got rag dolled like that I'd move down a weight class too. He had some wars at LW.

I'm not even a nate fan and I would say a big part of his loss had to do with weight. He was way to small for rory I never thought he was being outclassed skill wise he was just being muscled around during the bout. Then came the slams from hell. He belongs at 155 cause guys there might beat him but he won't be physically embarrassed like he was during his last fight.

Nate moving back to 155 could be a good thing for him. He was talking about going back to Lightweight before he even lost at 170. If I recall correctly he was calling out Gray Maynard after choking Marcus Davis unconscious.

As far as I am concerned, Nate only lost once at Welterweight. He won the Stun Gun fight. Kim got beat up, Nate got layed on. However, there is no disputing the punking he suffered at the hands of Rory MacDonald. But MacDonald is a killer, and I wouldn't be surprised if he were fighting for the title at 23!

I would like to see him fight the winner of the Mac Danzig vs Donald Cerrone fight it would give him some time to get his weight back down for 155 successfully and I beleive it would be an awesome fight either way
